    David Musson Fencing Ltd is a family-run business founded in 1981 to supply fencing materials to the local area.     We are now recruiting Yard Staff/Forklift Drivers, ideally people with experience within the builders' merchants/ timber-merchant sector in a yard or warehouse environment. A FLT license is essential to perform this role, and a valid driving license is necessary as you may be required to do deliveries from time to time.

    As a FLT Driver / Yard Operative, your role will involve an element of manual handling as well as using equipment to load and unload deliveries, interacting with customers and making sure they are satisfied, and ensuring the yard is kept presented to a high standard. There is always a variety of jobs and plenty to do so it is important that the candidate can use initiative and is able to manage their time sufficiently. This full-time and permanent FLT Driver/ Yard Operative role can provide an excellent foundation for a successful career in the builders' merchants / timber-merchant sector whilst supplying a competitive salary.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Assisting customers.
    • Providing excellent customer service.
    • Loading and unloading vehicles.
    • Picking and checking orders.
    • Storing stock safely.
    • Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment.
    • Manual handling tasks.
    • Stock taking.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • A Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
    • Tele Truck licence an advantage.
    • Builders’ merchant / timber-merchant industry knowledge.

    You will be working within a close-knit team and will be dealing with our customers on a daily basis so we are looking for someone that:
